Learn the coil-building technique to create and give shape in your own style
Would you like to give shape to clay and create your own original ceramic piece? In this course, award-winning designer Anke Buchmann not only teaches you how to model, she also shows you incredible techniques to create your own finish.
During the class you will gain material knowledge, learn how to use cutlery as ceramic tools, get to know the coil based hand-building technique, model your own vessel and apply your chosen surface finish.
This class is designed for you to work with clay at home without any additional tools needed. Anke will teach you how to use your hands to shape the clay. She will also show you how you can use household objects such as cutlery to replace professional tools.
If you don't have clay at home, Anke will share details of where to purchase clay from. If you like your work fired, you can drop it off at the studio and for an extra service price we fire your piece for you. So you end up with a finished ceramic piece. Read details here.
