Alice Gavalet has worked in clay since 25 years. She studied at ENSAAMA Olivier de Serre and the Decorative Arts in Paris. Today she works as an independent designer in the field of ceramic, metal, bronze, rope. Her work is personal, and bold. She has been featured in AD Architectural Digest, Ateliers d'Art, Maison et Objet 2019. For HANDFUL she describes her approach with clay and ceramics. She talks about artists like Betty Woodman, Ettore Sottsass or Peter Schlesinger als role models for her sculptural expression.
Her ceramics are currently on view in Paris @galerieitalienne (8 June - 17 July 2021).
